Theresa was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, where she started her career as an attorney with a prominent insurance defense litigation firm. Prior to starting Donovan Law in Dallas, Theresa was a litigation attorney at one of the top full-service business law firms in the country. Her practice focused primarily on real estate matters and contract disputes, as well as homeowners’ and condominium association law.

During her time as insurance defense counsel, Theresa represented commercial insurance carriers and their insured’s in personal injury, wrongful death, slip and fall, and workers’ compensation matters. She has the experience and knowledge to understand how cases are evaluated and resolved by insurance companies. This insight gives Theresa a unique perspective on how the opposing side prepares for a civil case, something that is highly useful representing people involved in car accidents and other personal injury claims.

Theresa believes in developing a personal relationship with her clients, and is highly determined to resolve every case efficiently in the most affordable manner possible.
